Absolutely perfect! Experience the full range of human emotions as this utter masterpiece WILL scare the crap out of you, make you laugh, p*ss you off a bit, and at times have you crying like a baby. The horror is genuinely terrifying, the character development is peak, sound design is on point, the writing is phenomenal, and Harlan's voice acting is out of this world awesome! I've come back to this podcast more times then I can legally own up to, and every time I notice more little hints and nods to things that are happening in the present season. The fact that the entire thing is done by one man just makes it even more impressive. Harlan Guthrie is to podcasts what Eric Barone is to video games (Stardew Valley's developer, if you don't know), and I just think it's super duper cool that one person can create so much, so well. :-)

By far the best pod cast that I have ever found. Very good storyline, and the description of the scene is good. I have been looking for another podcast to listen to because I binge on the episodes, but I cannot find anything interesting enough. I cannot wait until the next episode is available.

Magnificently Macabre

I cannot say enough how much i’ve enjoyed this podcast- an absolutely horrifying delight and inspiration, Malevolent has kept me consistently on the edge of my seat! The narrative is tightly woven, the characters are incredibly engaging, and the world is dark and filled with enough secrets and mysteries to have you pulling out your corkboards. Amazing!

Malevolent is amazing, fabulous – the music is great, with a very skilled voice actor. The writing has embedded this podcast into the deepest hallows of my heart, and I will never emotionally recover. Its tragic, and hopeful – at times very disturbing, in the way any good horror story is.

Seriously the best podcast I’m listening to. I can’t stop checking everyday for an update. It’s such a well written and performed piece it could seriously be a tv show. It’s a must listen!!! It will have you on your toes at every turn. The only bad part is binging all the seasons and then having to wait for updates 😩

Why didn’t anyone warn me about how good this is???

Started listening a few days ago and let’s just say I’m obsessed and on part 4. The character development and push and pull between the main characters is scrumptious! Genuinely been listening to it nonestop, what a lovely roller coaster it’s been. I’ve laughed, I’ve contemplated, I’ve cried (genuinely), it’s just wonderful how the scenarios encourage a specific feeling. I love how flawed they are, they are frustrating but you come to appreciate them along with their flaws. I can’t wait to listen to more!

the best podcast

can’t recommend this podcast enough, truly haven’t found another audio that scratches the itch as well as this one does. You can tell just the sheer amount of talent, love and dedication that goes into this level of production. A must listen!!

This podcast was a rollercoaster of emotions. I heard many podcasts and was actually rather wary of Malevolent at first. But I do not regret a single second of what I listened to. I have felt no emotions as strong as listening to this podcast. And! Not only is the podcast great, so is the community. They're such kind people and built a sense of belonging.

Ahhhh, so good

Malevolent absolutely blew my socks off, and I adored every episode. Arthur is such a fun, complicated protagonist, and he's an absolute delight to follow through his many trials (and falls down holes.) I cannot recommend this podcast enough.

Innovative, creepy and mysterious.

Absolutely enthralled, intrigued, amused and last night a little creeped out . Absolutely loving it. Only just begun listening and working through each episode. Found myself laughing, commenting out loud and at times a little bit scared and checking thr shadowy corners of my room.

Not only am I hooked, I’m also wildly impressed! Everything about this is fan-tucking-fastic. The dynamic between Arthur and John feels so real and relatable; as relatable as it can be, considering…. I’m currently at the tail end of season 2 and I can’t wait to devour the rest!

My favorite podcast ever

I started this podcast ages ago, and one of my favorite memories of it is binging it during a road trip. This podcast sparked my interest in Robert Chambers, and The King in Yellow has become one of my favorite books. This podcast is a huge point of inspiration with my stories and creations, and I could not be happier to have found it. It is a beautiful story, and incredibly well made. I could not sing its praises loud enough, and five stars is not enough. Beautiful work.

Good nights sleep

I always listen to the podcast before I go to sleep. It feels so freeing to imagine the world of Malevolent. It is... less lonely when I hear John and Arthur arguing or making amends. I love every single character and how tzey sound and how they just are. Great job, I am amazed.

Makes me feral

I have become hopelessly obsessed with this podcast. I adore every single character and want nothing more than to put them in a terrarium and keep them on my windowsill. Solid 10/10, and is sure to bring me many hours of entertainment in the days to come.

A masterpiece of horror and hope. Not only are the characters fascinating and incredibly complex, but the plot keeps twisting and turning as they journey on. The music, and the poetry, and the soundscapes immerse you in this world and tug at your heartstrings. I never thought a podcast could make me feel so deeply; I’ve never been happier to be proven wrong.

One of the best podcasts i listened to.

I started listening to malevolent just some months ago and it's one of the best podcasts I ever heard. It's probably in my top 3 favorite podcasts. The story is fascinating and always manages to keep me interested in what will happen next. The moment an episode ends I just can't wait to listen to the next and when a new episode comes it never fails to amaze me, always managing to be better than I expected. Also the characters are just so well written, they don't end up being flat and limited by good or evil but they have such complexity that makes them super interesting in their own way. I would write all the things I like but the text would end up being too long so I just want to say thank you for making an amazing podcast like malevolent.

Astounding Writing and preformance

It's not often you run into a one-man band that puts together a fantastic cosmic horror. Its work has evolved since it's first season to the latest, while keeping close to the heart of its theme; identity and what that means when it is challenged by your choices, both metaphoric and supernatural. Guthrie(sp) has delivered a tale worth listening to. I hope to hear and read more of his curious mind in the future. Happy hauntings, and hold fast, happy listeners.

probably my favorite podcast of all time, no joke

I'm not joking when I say this podcast has made me BAWL. I've been listening for about a year and a half now, and my friends can attest to this being something I never shut up about.
